The most overlooked opportunity in comics is the ALA Annual artist alley. They give FREE tables and admission to cartoonists in exchange for a piece of art for a charity auction. If you make books that end up in libraries, that is the room you want to be in, and you can do it at no cost.

May was a bit of a rough month on the busy scale so I took a solo drive down to Iowa this weekend for Des Moines Con, Amana Colonies, and the Iowa Ren Fest! Saw Firefly folks, heard some live music from the Hellaverse, brought home some goodies made by humans. Back at it today but with a full cup ☺️

Celebrated 13 years of marriage and 17 years together today with my partner! We had a pretty chill day taking out VR zombies and marveling at the totally 100% factual Weird Al biopic (dude had such a wild life!) In short: A perfect day with my love ❤️❤️

Happy, happy birthday to my two younger cats, Teemo (the tabby) and Tristana (the muted calico)! Little darlings are 11 years old today and soaking up some afternoon naps and extra snuggles ❤️❤️

I caught him mid-nap on my desk, but Mr. Figaro is officially a super senior today at 15 years old! He’s moved into needing a little more medical care to keep him zipping around these days but is so loved and still leaps around like a much younger cat. Happy birthday, little bear!
