Our next Great Data Products #podcast convo is with @geoskeptic.bsky.social about how open tech standards evolve. Matt & @jed.co will use @stacspec.bsky.social as a case study & will explore how community-driven design made it successful & how standards enable orgs to align w/out central control..

The pilot bias bounty program theme will be geospatial and climate adaptation domains & will leverage @source.coop's data publishing utility. A working group with climate scientists will be set up to help identify the most impactful challenge focus, based on scientific relevance and needs.
