Just heard the Gavin Newsom quote where he's not in favor of expanding the Supreme Court, because then eventually there would be more members on the Supreme Court than there are in Congress, because every time each side gets into trifecta power they'd add more justices. Yeah? Really? So what? 👇🏻

But I can see why Florida thinks it needs to ban these drag shows that all Florida children have been forced to attend by law. Wait a minute, hold on. I'm getting some new information that no child in Florida is forced to go to a drag show, that such attendance is voluntary with parental permission.

Drag shows are only offensive for children if you only see women as sex objects. Because otherwise, there's nothing intrinsically sexual about a blouse, a skirt, some heels, and some makeup, no matter who's wearing them. But if women are sex objects, then dressing ask them is inherently sexual.

How in the Land of the Free do you get around to banning drag shows? What kind of busybody do you have to be to dictate the style of clothing people may wear and who they may display it for? I want to wear a shirt. Okay. I want to wear a tank top. Okay. I want to wear a blouse. Now hold on!

Those Republicans voted for the Epstein files transparency act and Trump signed it because they all knew damn well it would be Todd Blanche in charge of enforcing it. This is just sealing the deal. Because some of them senators are in the files as well as Supreme Court Justices and of course Trump.

It’s whiplash inducing for the Senate to all vote for the Epstein transparency bill, for Blanche to flagrantly violate its terms, and then vote to confirm him

Who is this "WE," senator? Name the enemy. Is this who Republicans are prepared to confirm? Why do Republicans support criminality? Why do Republicans want to cover up the Epstein files? Why do Republicans want to pay the traitors who beat cops on January 6th? Name the goddamn enemy!

Schiff: "This is someone who has violated his code of ethics blatantly, misled this committee, supported establishment of a fund for cop beaters, covered up docs implicating president in the Epstein files, use DOJ to enrich the president. Is this who we're prepared to confirm as AG? It appears so."

Establishment Democrats are working with Republicans for a bipartisan continuing resolution to fund the fascist government without any concessions or limitations on how that fascist government will attack us in case you're wondering why so many people on the left are turning to democratic socialism.

Meanwhile, in the USA, we are actively subsidizing fossil fuel companies, fighting yet another Middle East war to protect their product, and relaxing already lax vehicle fuel standards while pulling promotion of electric vehicles our automakers are turning away from producing.

It's economic tipping-points like this I get the most excited about. When it's cheaper to do the smartest, lowest-impact thing, THAT's when stuff goes bananas: open.substack.com/pub/sammatey... (And it's when people who rely on existing systems to rake in massive profits start yelling the loudest).

Quote from article by environmental scientist Sam Matey-Coste: "One of the most amazing little-known facts about our current reality.
In Australia, rooftop solar now is actually cheaper than the cost of building out a power line from a centralised power source to a house. So if Australia had infinite free power at a centralized source tomorrow, nuclear fission or the Tesseract or something, rooftop solar would still be cheaper. "

Democrats! Don't vote for the candidate who captures your heart by listening to your concerns and addressing your needs. You've got to be smart and pick the candidate contrary to many of your values because other people who aren't you might like them more. Republicans! Pay no heed to the above.

"Haley Stevens's and Abdul El-Sayed's campaigns are different in ways that are pitting Democratic voters' heads against their hearts. With polls showing El-Sayed leading by double digits, I wonder if the heart is pulling away." My latest @thebulwark.com: www.thebulwark.com/p/michigan-d...

"Well, okay, if it's only Trump, his sons, and his businesses getting away with stealing from the American taxpayers and we get a promise not to pay the rioters who tried to kill us at work, we can confirm his lawyer who defended him on that and is currently covering up his past rape of children."

JUST IN: Tillis confirms he is on board with Cornyn to vote yes on Blanche for AG, after Blanche renounces Anti-Weaponization Fund in writing & asserts that the waiver of any past taxes due is limited to POTUS, Don Jr., Eric & Trump Org. Earlier: www.politico.com/news/2026/08...
