I can’t believe I have been playing this game for 6 years. I can’t believe I’ve been looking forward to this moment—today—for SIX YEARS. I can’t believe it’s really here, really happening. Snezhnaya, here I come. 🤩

As someone with anxiety, the relief and joy of a con where I know anyone I meet will have *some* common interest as a conversation starter… That’s what takes me back to events like GenCon or PAXU.

My cat hadn’t slept in bed with me for several nights in a row, but last night, she finally came and cuddled under the covers and purred for 20 minutes straight. First good night of sleep all week. 💪

Got friends going to GenCon, got a little bit of that FOMO feeling, but goddamn, if my life isn’t also full of possibilities. Who knows? Maybe I’ll see you there next year.

Turned 33, celebrated in nerdy theme, symbolically ended a year full of grief—now moving towards new possibilities, even while still healing from heartbreaking loss. I don’t have regrets. I have hope. New home, new job, new friends, new projects… a new era after a fracture. We continue.

I don’t know why the Regina George numbers from the Mean Girls musical make me feel more powerful, but I’m gonna lean into that feeling right now. I need to remember that I’m powerful.
