Great piece. I once saw a post asking whether you would expect the city to let you store your couch on the street for free (or a highly discounted rate) which made me re-think why we except the city to subsidize the storage of cars.
My @thestar.com column on Toronto’s unfair proposed parking permit changes that favour house owners over people in apartments. As it ever was in Toronto. Maybe we should stop subsidizing the storage of private property in public space.
