Donald was a mixxed traffic engine which meant he could pull coaches or trucks. Unlike some however he didn't mind which he pulled so more often than not he handled the goods. But when he was given passengers he proved that the scots could do just as good a job as anyone.
Skarloey came from the top station to haul Duncan & his train to the platform. The passengers were very cross. They burst out of the train & told the drivers, the firemen & the guard what a bad railway it was!
Despite what you may have heard from a certain little diesel, Fred was anything but workshy. His engine hated cold starts & it often took a while to get him going. Most days his crews would give up & get Rusty instead but when his engine did work Fred engined his work.
Douglas was normally in much better spirits than his counterpart on the Skarloey railway but when he was invited over he found himself understanding Duncan's point of view. "I don't mind hard work but when they visit we give them passengers! Why should I pull ballast trains?"
Always love revisiting a childhood classic, one of my fav VHS' as a kid even if now it looks a bit different!
The Skarloey railway, much like its counterpart in Wales, is prone to a special train every so often. The one Skarloey & Rheneas like best is one they pull together. They call it "The Victorian Train" as its a rake of the oldest coaches pulled by the oldest engines.
Henry grumbled as he was diverted into the branchline. "Whats happening? This trains going to the end of the line" he asked as they came to a stop at the station. His driver went to find out & soon returned with bad news. "A signal fault, we are to wait here until its cleared"
Was beta testing a new route by Keaton on twitter and I think people are going to enjoy it!
As Ivo backed down onto his coaches they glared angrily towards him. "Whatevers the matter?" the new engine asked. "We trust the others, they have experience pulling coaches!" the coaches growlled. "What nonsense! I've been pulling trucks for weeks! How different can it be?!"
Toby & Henretta were enjoying their new job on the island of sodor but they do look old fashioned & need new paint. James was very rude whenever he saw. "Ew, what dirty objects" he would say. But Toby soon put james in his place when he reminded him of bootlaces!
Every year Rusty would star at the Tayllyn Railways events with another engine! Normally Rusty only got to pull special trains but the weather was hot & a spark from Sir Handels funnel caught the lineside ablaze! He was confined to the yard while Rusty helped take his trains!

Percy always liked seeing Terence the tractor hard at work in the field before the tunnel. Whenever the signal was against him he would stop & chat with him until it was time to do. He really couldn't understand why Thomas had ever clashed with the tractor all those years ago.
Any wise engine knows Ballast trucks are some of the rudest on the line. Robert was good with trucks, he could intimidate them into behaving but he soon learned these trucks were different. "Oh do come along you stupid things!" he boomed with a snarl but the trucks just laughed.
Gordon had been boasting all week about the photogragher. British Railways were taking a series of photos to be used on Posters for the North Western Railway However the day he came Gordon jolted so quickly he jumped the points in the yard! Leaving Henry to take his place!

Logon was a little steam engine bought by the Crosby Coal Company who was used to shunt the new heavily engineered coal trucks. He would shunt them around the coaling plant & on rare occation take them to some of the bigger industrial yards on the island!
When Sir Robert Noramby needed an engine to take supplies up to Ulstead castle he had a... unconventional idea. He found an old amercian engine, regauged him & set him to work. Sir Topham Hatt had more than a few reservations about the idea but Hank soon proved his worth!
Decided to suggest on the Dovetails server a seperate Roadmap for Wonders Of Sodor and made this mock up based on the current Train Sim World roadmap to visualise the idea. It came out so good I decided I should share it here!

Nia enjoyed her life on the fat controllers railway. Some things were very new to her but many things were the same no matter where you were, trucks were one of them. "If you stop bumping I'll tell you stories from home" she told them & the curious trucks relucantly behaved.
James had been excited when Sir Topham Hatt had sent him to the mainland to collect some new "very important" rolling stock. However when he came back over the Vicarstown rolling bright instead of nice shiny coaches like he had expected he was pulling some dull tar wagons!
They found Gordon half way up & very cross. His driver & fireman were talking to him severely. "Your not trying!" "I can't do it," said Gordon "The noisy trucks hold an engine back so" #ttte
