i feel a worry that we expect A++ every time any new media appears, or else it's called shit, or disappointing. "-slop" as a suffix describing things we actually enjoy the obvious example of this. it's like saying we're too cool to unironically enjoy cheaply made media... even if it's wonderful.

hi so I'm on an American Airlines flight rn, but I can't really call it a "flight" their IT systems are down. across all networks. can't log in, can't board or deboard, can't fly. Every AA plane in the nation is grounded. They implemented AI tools this year tho so surely THAT will help :)
