There is a lovely hotel in San Juan Bautista where I often stay. There is only one tragic flaw to the place, which is that in morning their breakfast area is tuned to "Mariachi Radio." Not quite a deal breaker, but it is still only 7:30 a.m.
Bird netting going up and not a moment too soon. Birds’ favorite is Ciliegiolo, followed closely by Ruchè and Furmint.

Harvest is just around the corner, so gearing up to make sure we're ready. Bird netting going up this week, electric fence around the Pinot Noir to (aspirationally) discourage the foxes who seem to have a predilection for the variety.
