My world slightly rocked today in tasting a pink variant of Aligoté. Endorsed highly by the flock.
The very unsettling feeling of being unable to tell whether you’re talking to a real human being on the other end of the line.

There is a lovely hotel in San Juan Bautista where I often stay. There is only one tragic flaw to the place, which is that in morning their breakfast area is tuned to "Mariachi Radio." Not quite a deal breaker, but it is still only 7:30 a.m.
Bird netting going up and not a moment too soon. Birds’ favorite is Ciliegiolo, followed closely by Ruchè and Furmint.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-gi.... This just flew in under my radar - from 6-7 years ago but song largely remains the same.

Call me crazy, but maybe two men who fathered 19 children with 7 different women shouldn’t be lecturing us about family values.
Unfiltered Wine Festival in Berkeley has been fun. Not really acclimated to standing so long and shrieking but in balance a positive experience
Republicans do things TO people, not FOR people.
"Should you, for example, always await a grand occasion to drink a fine wine? Many have found this to be a formula for infinite regress: no occasion ever proves grand enough for the wine … until the wine has become too old to do justice to any grand occasion."

Hotel room adjacent to the ice machine. Need I say more?
Looking forward to the Unfiltered wine Festival later today. But a soupçon of sleep would hit the spot at the moment.
Love the Edsel/Cybertruck comparison. However, the graphic looks far too much like a winery sales report

Heading up to UCSF later this a.m. for a (relatively minor) procedure. Welcome to #dotage #decrepitude #superannuation #ganzkaput

I’ll be pouring the (unfiltered) 2021 Popelouchum Blanc (Grenache Blanc/Gris) among other wines on Sunday, 7/25 at Unfiltered Wine Festival in Berkeley. www.donkeyandgoat.com/unfiltered/
Consumed 6 cups of hotel coffee this morning with a caffeine equivalent of perhaps one cup of real coffee.

Am I missing something? This doesn’t seem impossible to do.
Governor Beshear... Get in your car. Drive to the hospital. Demand to speak to the Senator. No more waffling, no more waiting for them to reply. "I see the Senator now, or I assume he's not coming back and call an election when I leave."
Sérine self crosses starting to change color. Some frightfully precocious.
Harvest is just around the corner, so gearing up to make sure we're ready. Bird netting going up this week, electric fence around the Pinot Noir to (aspirationally) discourage the foxes who seem to have a predilection for the variety.
