Earlier tonight, the air smelled like firecrackers. I can’t sleep so I ate a yogurt in the dark while looking out the patio door at the reflection of LED lights in the trees. It already feels like October.

The next track event for my club is at Sonoma raceway. I want to do it but it’s a very technical track with lots of hairpins & elevation trickery & I’m simply not experienced enough yet. Boo.

I started going through my Mom’s photos & stuff today. I made good progress with little breaks & pushing through a small migraine, but this one stopped me in my tracks. It was taken when she was in her early 40’s. I miss you, Mom.

Yesterday I went to Stoney Point, where I used to boulder in the early 90’s. It was stinkin hot but people were there doin the things. There’s a memorial plaque to Bob Kamps at his traverse wall, whom I knew back then.

I found a record store in Ventura, & bought the one RHCP album I didn’t have a copy of. Home now & rockin it, thinkin I should get the rest of their catalog on vinyl too
