Musician working in numerous modes of looping and modular electronics, through live improvisations using delay, granular, low-res sampling and west coast electronics. https://rasthavas.bandcamp.com

ras_thavas A short Cicada Electronics piece featuring the estimable Xaoc Odessa Variable Spectrum Harmonic Oscillator murmuring through the Holocene Electronics Non-Linear Memory Machine.

First test of using Multigrain under full cv control, one Xaoc Odessa “wiggle” manipulated in varying ways on numerous slots with semi-random control. One particularly impressive feature Multigrain offers is a wealth of ways to tie grains to clocks & gates, there’s much to explore with this module.

A short tone poem with XAOC Odessa Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster Oscillator thru Tiptop Audio Buchla 296t filter bank with cv modulation and manual wiggling/curating. Deep FM inputs and a very playable surface for Odessa create many glassy, metallic, and noise-based universes.

Next week on Bandcamp- “The Ghost Cicada Orchestra” Featuring Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave & Xaoc Odessa with Make Noise & Industrial Music Electronics processing, & Ectocore rhythm section. Looping, double buffered-scrubbed rhythms, & blind format switching on the Tyme Sefaris.

Sublime even when condensed to broadcast tv time requirements, Robert Fripp and Frippertronics. I was fortunate enough to see him do this at the Mabuhay Garden back in 1979 and it remains with me to this day.
