Saw the Odyssey. I've stuck out of the discourse for this just bc/ I don't mind a bit of historical anachronism. Works well enough here to feel intentionally eerie and cold. An alien time stranded at the edge of the world. Not a fan of the wider trend but here it's fine for the films mood. Good!

Since their big sci-fi 5e ks my feed has educated me on who legends of avintris are. Sometimes I find myself unsatisfied with my art; I wish I had the confidence to put something more out into the world. But alteast my career doesn't ride on a cartoon clown making war crimes in yugoslavia jokes.
I think what gets me about the Deathbringer stuff is I want to be shlock genre contents #1 defender. Female Prisoner Scorpion or Heavy Metal Mag or Moorcock paperbacks, high art. This isn't that though. It isn't the fun or ambitious or cool stuff. It's your shitty uncles half remembered recreation.
