First picked chanterelles of the season! Only got a handful but their are plenty of babies growing!
Our garden is growing well. Cauliflower, brussel sprouts, zucchini, and serrano peppers
First time inoculating a log with mushroom spores. Hopefully it works!
The joy of peak mushroom season! Cooked yellowfoots and black trumpets in butter then did two different quick pickling batches
Went out before the next week of rain and got a lot of nice hedgehog mushrooms
Hidden in a sea of yellowfoot mushrooms was a couple of black trumpets! Still a small amount of black trumpets but the most I've found In a single spot!
Another seccussful day of picking up groceries. Ended up being a little over 4 lbs
Went deeper into the forest today to see how mushrooms were growing there. Was pleasantly surprised with how many I found and how many babies were growing! Got some hedgehogs, chantrelles, and the first yellowfoots of the season!
Our spicy pepper plants did very well this year so I fermented some peppers for 10 days and made hot sauce with them
After rain the last couple of days it has triggered hedgehog mushrooms to start growing!

Dehydrated the the old king bolete and grounded it up to season food with
King boletes are finally back! Probably my top 3 favorite tasting mushroom
First year growing san marzano tomato’s for pizza sauce. Got some mushrooms earlier today for topping and used our other garden tomato’s to make a caprese pizza
