Environment and Level Artist https://raulgoce.artstation.com/

Hi beautiful people from here! I will be taking a break for xmas to spend it with my family and friends! I mught have a very very good news on my personal side so I will post the outcome :D

I think it's time to update my profile pic to something more professional. I want to focus on growing in the community and I think having one relatable profile pic is better. Quick intro, I am Raul from Spain, Environment Artist and Level Designer living in South Korea :D

I want to have this peeling height information whenever I apply vertex paint into a mesh in Unreal, does anybody know how to do it? Basically have this Normal information on the borders of the Vertex Paint mask. Let's say Gray is Paint and Red is wood or metal. #gamedev #gameart #ue5 #unreal

Don't be afraid of deleting one subtool/piece that you have been working on for a while, if you have a better idea just go for it! That is why it's so important to spend a lot of time in blockout, so you don't waste time

Sorry for for the confussion on my previous post. I wanted to discover new fantasy medieval environment concept artist, not hire for commissions. I had to delete the previous post because a lot of people were reaching to me. Sorry again!

Working on my next portfolio piece. This time I wanted to focus on sculpting organic and it's not going bad so far. First model ever sculpted with this method. In the past I always sculpted rocks and wood. And if you are wondering, the only WIP is the leg, the rest is done 😂😂 #gameart #3dart #enviro

I hate the new Fab. It does not work on unreal so I have to manually download and import all the assets/materials. Today I wanted to add grass and oh God.. what a pain haha

Not gonna lie, job searching in South Korea is almost imposible. More than 100 applies and not a single interview. Meanwhile in Europe, I had offers and interviews. So I know it's not because of experience/skills :(

It might be wrong for me to say this, but... this is looking siiiiiiiiiiiiick! Legs and machine gun Low poly + UVs +Bake done, now middle part remaining, this is going to be a nightmare x.x

Question for my friends artists, would you integrate these pieces into a single mesh for games or this is fine? (blue lines indicate how to integrate all the elements into a single piece) I am very curious on your approaches. Personally I would leave it like that, there are no bake problems #3dart

I am wondering what my next project should be focus on. I am between improve sculpting or texturing. But I think I am lacking more in sculpting. So next project will be on that matter! I think I will go for this. From my previous trip to Tailand :D

There are so much things that I want to do to this big boy. But I challenge myself with finishing in a timeline so I think it's time to call it done. It is hard because I want to do more and more things, change old stuff and put new ones, but I think it end up really cool. Now time to refine & clean
