So LifeLabs, the only company that does bloodwork here in BC, just got acquired by a US company. Now whenever I log in to see my hormone level results, it has this popup. Concerning that need to know this, and never did before. I don’t trust an American outfit with this info in their database.
It’s probably a good thing that the worst thing I have to complain about my week recovering from bottom surgery is the hospital food Everyone has treated me really well, all the nurses were awesome, I’m healing on track But ohhh this food is abysmal lol. like one step below microwave tv dinner

Great article. I found about aphantasia about 15 years ago. Before that I thought that “picture in your mind” was a metaphor, and didn’t realize it was a thing that others could actually do. I have no “minds eye”, and also no episodic or visual memory - but very good spatial and semantic memory.

In the late 90’s I was on IRC, originally as “anymouse” (shortened from anonymouse to fit in an 8 character limit) Folks assumed I was a mouse though so to make it more dragony I flipped it backwards (Esuomyna) and changed letters until it sounded better (Asunyra) Dumb name that stuck since : P

At TD bank to wire the deposit for my FFS, getting called “sir” the whole time, sure whatever. But the best was at the end: - Is there anything else you need sir? - Yeah can you change my account name from “Miss” to “Ms”? - No problem sir. Okay that’s been changed sir. couldn’t help but laugh : P
