The issues underlying this are not fixed. Researchers set up a site to test this. We used it and, indeed, we could see our supposedly hidden IP.

Seeing people say the Blacksky app "asks for risky permissions" while they have apps like TikTok, IG, etc., installed on their phone is hilarious. The Blacksky app doesn't ask for any more permissions than the Bluesky app does and you are able to decline ALL permissions and still use the app lol
