Hey everyone, happy Thursday! Wait, what do you mean it's Friday? Look, it's apparently still Thursday on Baker Island as I'm starting to w

I'm probably the only one who cares about this but I've been trying to reverse engineer my old SH-06D NERV phone and recreate the launcher & widgets for my current phone. In doing so, I found an Easter Egg in the unique number widget! I can't find any mention of this anywhere!

Oh my god, Suikoden Star Leap is somwhow the best mobile game I've ever played. It's definitely worthy of the Suikoden name. The story lands (even through an awkward onscreen live translation app) and the combat is amazing, in some ways an advancement over the console games.

Okay I’ve turned around on the game. I gave it a chance based on some people who’s opinions I respect, and it’s clicking for me now. It’s still far from perfect, but there’s a compelling side to the game once you get going. As a whole it’s better than the sum of its parts.

Digimon Up is a bloated gacha mess with zero gameplay. It’s a terrible non-game by any metric, and not even the lovely pixel art can save it. #デジモン #Digimon

spireofarkodea.com is costing me like nearly $40usd a month between hosting, the google workspaces thing and the actual site itself. This feels kind of insane for a very basic 3-page website. Does anyone have any alternatives to SquareSpace for this sort of site?

A comment from the thread has informed me the game was advertised as “stupidly long”, so it looks like I jumped the gun - the refunds are likely justified on this one. I’m all for shorter indie games, but false advertising is false advertising.

My copy of Simon the Sorcerer Origins arrived. I don’t talk about it enough but StS 1 and 2 were formative games for me. I’m really looking forward to playing Origins. Although it has a simpler more cartoony art style, it seems to have inherited the spirit of the originals.

I really enjoyed Disclosure Day, but I feel like it could’ve been tightened up a lot in the edit. It felt too long and disjointed in places, but it felt like the kind of thing I’d have loved in the 90s.

Wait Supergirl was pretty good actually. Really enjoyed that. I liked Kara’s journey throughout the movie and where she ended up, and I thought the quest/roadtrip vibe was great. Looking forward to seeing the character in whatever the next thing ends up being.

My partner was a fan of the Scary Movie franchise when he was younger so we went to see Scary Movie 6. What a shame. I guess they can’t all be winners. (Or maybe the Scary Movie franchise just isn’t for me!)

Saw Backrooms in the cinema a few days ago, I really loved it. Great film. I wasn’t familiar with the YouTube series when I saw it but I am now. I think it might be my movie of the year so far. Kinda wanna go see it again.
