Many people don’t realize if you leave an agentic session idle for over 5 minutes or 1 hour, you pay significantly higher token costs unnecessarily. The cached tokens in the context become uncached. Cache rewrites are more expensive. You may have compaction too.

I know some people aren’t sold on it, but I have been using Fabel 5 at work and I am extremely impressed with its ability to work for extended periods of time and produce a high-quality PR. It seems to excel on repos with extensive tests (e2e, integration, unit).

Given Microsoft’s aggressive efforts to encourage customers to adopt Copilot and AI services, it baffles me why MS Teams lacks the ability to summarize threads and messages and only surface time sensitive notifications. This seems like something AI would be very capable of.

2026 prediction: Career fairs make a comeback. As AI floods both sides of hiring, signal gets noisier and fit is harder to judge. Face-to-face human interaction becomes the differentiator.
