There was a raven out at my bird feeder today, eating the stuff that fell on the ground. That was a first. I've seen a couple of crows checking it out before, but never a raven!

I was outside talking to my neighbor, and he was holding an ice coffee. It was almost as white as milk - he's basically drinking milk with a splash of coffee. Never saw coffee that light before
People complain about the Sunday Scaries but the Tuesday Terrors after a five day weekend are much worse!
Latest read: Psycho de Mayo by Hassan Riaz. I really liked the plot and the overall story, but an aspect of the writing - after a character had a thought the author put a clarifying thought in parenticies right after and it just slowed the narrative down so much

The humidity was disgusting this morning. I had to cut my walk short because of how humid it was - I was dripping sweat within 5 minutes of walking. If I had done my normal walk, I'd likely have been very dehydrated today
I thought the first Five Night at Freddy's was decent, so I'll give the sequel a try. Hopefully they ramped up the violence a bit!
Saturday Night Horror: I know a lot of people are obsessed with "Obsession," so I'm finally giving it a try! I avoided reading anything at all about the plot. Also, remind me to cancel Peacock, I subscribed just to watch this!

July was somehow slow and extremely quick at the same time. I finished the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and I read a new contender for favorite book of the year, "Japanese Gothic" by Kylie Lee Baker. The writing and story are both beautifully done and I couldn't put it down! #booksky
If there were one chore I wish I could make someone else, do it would be either dishes or laundry. Unfortunately, I'm about to do both! Blech
Latest read: Dollface by Lindy Ryan. Ignore the comparison to Scream because they are not alike, but it's still a fun slasher whodunit, although the sex scenes seemed forced, which knocks it down a peg for me. Still, overall, glad I read it!

So, I had become slightly obsessed with Dungeon Crawler Carl. I can't tell if Lit RPG is a new genre I may enjoy or if DCC was an exception. Does anyone have recommendations? Photo of Bear sticking her tongue out to increase visibility!

Latest read: Dungeon Crawler Carl - A Parade of Horribles. All I know is if Matt Dinniman pulls a George R.R. Martin, I'll be so angry! I need more Carl and Donut in my life! These books are so good and I'm going to be checking for updates on the release dates of the next book constantly!
This week can't end soon enough! I only have two more days and then a long weekend but how it's going, those two days are going to feel like 10
I know I need a day off when I wish for an Internet outage during a thunderstorm so I can end my day early!
Minor work complaint - we have a 70-character limit for headlines (including spaces). Shouldn't be a problem...except most of our coverage area town names are 10 or more letters long and we need it in the heads for SEO. It's such a pain in the ass.

Latest reads: I love the premise for "Headlights" by C.J. Lee, and although I do enjoy a slow burn, this was just too slow to the payoff. "The Beast" by Brian Berry was a quick fun read but strangely not as bloody as I thought it should be. I'm not a gorehound, but this story screamed for it!
