I’d never seen an entire hospital floor-40 beds-dedicated to a single infectious disease before. At our peak we had more than three non-ICU units dedicated just to patients with COVID. Heated high flow and Bipap, usually exclusive to ICU, were standard on the floor because the ICUs were full.
