A sequel to the June postcard kidlit illustration, this is a drawing of younger me collapsed on the ground with a basketball laying beside me.

I have never been a healthy or fit person, and so it wasn’t all that surprising I wouldn’t last five minutes out on the court. Even if it was just me trying to toss the ball through the hoop all on my own.

This is presented as a postcard for the KidLitArtPostcard monthly event, with this month's theme being "You, as a Kid".

I have always been frail and sickly, ever since I was a young. And so days were incredibly rare, when I would try to be more active. There was a particular day, when I had tried to go out all by myself to play basketball. In hopes of getting fitter and healthier. Just so that I could make my brother proud especially, and that I would eventually be able to spend more time with him.

Sadly though, that would not be the reality. But I'm still proud of my younger self for still trying her best.
