It’s funny to see shocked realisation that Mount can play in midfield, and actually can play well. People forget that he was Chelsea’s player of the year and an England squad regular in that position. The only question is can the medical staff do for him what they did for Shaw and keep him fit.

I like the look of the line up today. I’m hoping for big things from Amad and Dorgu this seaaon so they can force their way into the starting front three ahead of Cunha Sesko Mbuemo and Rashford. I think there’s a lot of competition for places up front.
What is the right size squad for a CL season. I’d say 39. We have 25 now so 5 short in my opinion. Lemmens, Darrow, altay, Dalot shaw Maz, de L Martinez Maguire heaven shaw Yoro Santos youri mainoo Bruno Mount amad Mbuemo Cunha Rashy Lacey Sesko Zirkzee Dorgu. I think we’ll get at least a couple.
I Know people are worried and I get it but Im not. Even if we buy no one else we have a better squad than the one that got more points than any other team under carrick. Midfield is better, keeper cover is better, and Rashford makes attack better. We need more depth but we are in a good place
I am surprised that some United fans want us to try for a 35 year old Danny Welbeck. Surely that can’t be the way to progress?
If we can somehow get Tchouameini firstly I have to learn how to spell his name, but then I can see us going with two alternate pairings. Tchouameini with Tielemans, and Santos with Mainoo. First would be our starters , second will be our rotation. Sounds like a MF to me!
I think this will be a breakout year for a whole lot of talent. Dowman, Ngumoah, and from United Lacey, Heaven and to a lesser extent JJ Gabriel. Exciting youngsters who can lay attacking football - hopefully the season will be more enter than the last few years.
I genuinely believe United have two more big signings on the way. Only spent £85m and got money for greenwood and Amorim plus Zirkzee likely to go. We have I reckon about £150m to spend still. I think a big Centre midfielder and a defender that can play CB or FB. Just don’t ask me who!
Has anyone heard more about the Martinez injury? Also any news on De Ligt and Sesko. Could we have three major players out a month before the season begins.

A sad day for football. Kevin keegan was a boyhood hero of mine even though he played for Liverpool. Such a great player and a nice man. Then again when he was our rival at Newcastle I couldn’t help but like him. His side played fantastic football and he was a gentleman. RIP king kev.
