Been mentally firing on all cylinders for much too long today. Between my actual job, researching into speedrun leaderboard alternatives, and the state of AI and other discourses, I'm absolutely spent. The only reprieve I have had today was watching like 6 episodes of Hunter x Hunter with a friend.
I abhorrently loathe this incredulously negative disposition towards code literacy in the modern day. It's practically to the point where it is being demonized and I genuinely cannot stand it.
I like seeing the dev of the SNES core on the Pocket actually telling one of these dudes off. Holy shit.
Let's talk about AI in VRChat. Be sure to fill out the Google form at the bottom of the article. ask.vrchat.com/t/regarding-...

Just got my new S-Video switcher yesterday and spent pretty much all morning getting the PS1 hooked up and the shelf area underneath the Philips to be a bit more organized and clean. I think this looks pretty good now and is an improvement over what I had earlier!
Redman@redman1994.bsky.social · 2w agoUnfortunately on Sunday night, my Sony KV-20M20 went the way of the dodo 🦤 But very fortunately, I was able to find this really nice Philips 20PS40S302 on Marketplace and I picked it up yesterday evening! It really looks amazing. Near perfect geometry without needing to make any adjustments!
Welp this blows. Definitely gonna affect me as a moderator for Sword of the Sea runs and it will affect all Giant Squid games and their respective runs too. This is definitely gonna take some time for me to parse through and figure out how to tackle things. Incredibly disappointing stuff all around
therun.gg@therun.gg · last wk.SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

what happens when a chubby new tgirl shows up in my server full of gay therian cryptids
Did the 9 games that shaped me trend cause I thought it was neat. Tried to make each row reflect an era of my life. Top row defined the 2000s for me as a kid. Middle row is all I played in the 2010s. Bottom row is what shapes me 2020 and onward. Journey would be on here if I had a 10th slot lmao
I just... love Undyne so much. Queer Icon. #undyne #undertale #queerart #anime #animeartist #animefanart #digitalart #digitalartist #artist #animeart #animefans #animes #animelovers

Redman@redman1994.bsky.social · 2w agoDecided to do New Game runs in Sword of the Sea for fun and I ended up PB'ing by over a minute, taking back WR, AND breaking another minute barrier all in 1 run 😎 A 49 is quite possible, I might grind for that in the future! But for now I can be quite satisfied with this run.

Redman@redman1994.bsky.social · 3w agoAfter just over a week of theorizing new strats, recording segments, and editing, I have now finished my 49 Shells Segmented Run with a time I'm very satisfied with! I am planning on streaming it first on my Twitch channel next Sunday, the 27th. Then right after I will have it go live on YouTube.
The 21st night of September will also be remembered for when Newt achieved the first 35 in Sword of the Sea Any%! Huge congratulations to him for this monumental achievement. He's been really putting in the work into this category for the past couple of months. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV2D...
