When I was young, it didn’t seem possible that FIFA could achieve such a feat. It’s been quite a turnaround over the last 30 years as, against all odds, they’ve managed to become more corrupt than the IOC.

Like Jobie MacAnuff, I’m all for the new rule where a red card is issued when a player covers their mouth during an acrimonious confrontation. If you don’t want a red card, just say your thing for all the world to see and be judged accordingly.
Lovely goal for Côte d’Ivoire. A team that I like. But I’ve long had an affinity with Norge so I have to root for them. Plus I’m fascinated to see how a team with decent players and then a world class striker competes.
I don’t know what people on here have been saying, but I seem to be in the minority in the real world. I think there’s a clear fouling action (deliberate) and so it was absolutely right to disallow the goal.
