I think this is new for Bluesky android app: if I am looking at a post and temporarily switch context to a browser then upon returning to Bluesky it loses my current post and refreshes. The post i was viewing is lost for all eternity. Highly irritating!
I have chosen one path. Sadly, you have chosen the other. That may bring you great wealth in the here and now, but you will end up poorer in the eyes of history. newsletters.democracydocket.com/my-open-/let...

Brilliant response to Ellison's transparent, self-serving article that tried to defend the indefensible.

Dear @nytimes.com In the article about the vote to confirm Blanche, when you write in the subheading "despite growing unease about his willingness to rein in President Trump" you used the wrong word. Surely you meant "unwillingness".
Tyson: “How sad it must be to believe that scientists, historians, economists, journalists, & scholars have devoted their lives to deceiving you While a reality TV star with decades of documented fraud, bankruptcies, & failed businesses is your sole source of truth”
Whitehouse: "Next we get to this crooked slush fund Trump family tax amnesty scam. We've got these two new pieces of paper. One signed only by Blanche, one not signed by anybody. Neither of which has any legal effect whatsoever. They are decorative. Can you trust Todd Blanche? I do not."
Whitehouse: "Today I think is a sad and embarrassing day for this committee as it looks like on a party-line vote we are going to advance out of this committee probably the most discreditable person ever to seek the office of attorney general. Let's start with the Epstein files ... "
After 18 years at The Washington Post, I’m excited to announce a new chapter. I’ve joined the intrepid team at ProPublica, which is expanding its D.C. newsroom to pursue accountability journalism on national security, including …

Dems dumped Platner and Swalwell . Max Miller remains. That is the difference between the two parties.
This is banana republic stuff - we all know that, right?
FLAG: Trump gets to keep tax immunity for himself, his sons, and the Trump Organization under the new 'deal' struck by Todd Blanche. The new order also reaffirms that Trump won't have to pay any taxes he might have owed the IRS.
The most corrupt, unethical AG in the US history will now take office after a sham deal with retiring Republican senators. Now this lawless DOJ will run amok with Trump’s criminal defense attorney carrying out his retribution tour against the innocent while the guilty go free.
The new GOP: We'll tolerate a little bit of rape and pedophilia, as long as we get to reduce taxes for the wealthy and ensure that people who don't look like us do not have access to shelter or food.
Mentioning "the googely-eyed guy in the Trump Administration will never be ambiguous.
Can someone explain how Axios could publish this and not note that DOJ has lost 18 of these cases and not won a single one? 0-18 is smart brevity.
Lord help us, this self-absorbed, broken man obsessed with money and power will spend 100 million dollars to nullify the votes of hundreds of thousands of honest Americans. Musk Plans to Spend at Least $100 Million to Help Republicans in the Midterms www.nytimes.com/2026/07/30/u...
Elon Musk Plans at Least $100 Million in Midterm Spending to Help Republicans
Elon Musk, a year after a huge blowup with President Trump and the Republican Party, is said to be planning to spend in at least eight states to help them in November.

Hurling F-bombs at an 85-year-old scientist who won’t fight back doesn’t make you tough. Staying silent after your own daughter accused Rep. Max Miller of holding a gun to her head, pushing her against a wall, and fracturing your granddaughter’s collarbone makes you a coward.
Moreno to Fauci: "Who the fuck did you think you were?"
My goodness. There it is. The once-venerated white-shoe New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell is representing an adjudicated rapist in a case brought by the victim. I never thought I would live to see something like this. Wow. www.documentcloud.org/documents/28...
look at the guy behind Trump (who is asleep). it smells crazy back there
Alex Pettis’ mom’s message. 💚 We can’t believe it’s already been six months.
The decision of so many people to keep using X in its race-war phase has made me a bit more cynical overall about the ability to draw moral red lines. It’s beyond disappointing.
Religious bigots in Iran and religious bigots in the US are going to keep killing innocent children, men, women, soldiers and civilians until their oil-drenched souls are lost, and basic humanity is abandoned.
BREAKING: In my lawsuit against Todd Blanche for the Epstein Files, Judge Sullivan has just ordered Blanche to produce, in camera (in chambers), the UNREDACTED emails & documents, and Blanche must bring documentation supporting his representations the DOJ’s redactions are what he claims they are.
A single, 20 year old middle-income taxpayer pays about $6,000 in income tax. One Tomahawk missile is $3 million. It will take that one taxpayer 500 years to pay for it. There have been hundreds fired.
Could every Democratic office-seeker please include in every stump speech something along the lines of "the GOP is calling every politician they disagree with a 'communist'. This is utterly stupid, ignorant McCarthyism".
$100 to any reporter who asks him, "so you're saying Capitol Police should've shot dead everyone who breached the Capitol on January 6?"
Homan on people getting killed by ICE: "It comes down to one simple fact -- these people failed to comply with law enforcement ... all they had to do is comply. If they did, they'd be alive today."
