It's not unique for this or anything but one of the things I appreciate about Star Trek is how it's always insisted an autistic person could be the hero of the story.

I wonder if making phone calls would suck less if we still called it getting on the horn
I saw the light through your window tonight. I saw two shadows holding each other tight.
"'Land of song,' said the warrior bard, 'Though all the world betrays thee One sword at least thy rights shall guard One faithful harp shall praise thee'"
Hehe the idea that there's a subspace implies there's also a domspace
This is a really good piece I've been thinking along similar lines about Dolly Parton I wanted to write a tribute to her but felt like I had to counter critiques from to the left of me as I did - and I think I'm pretty far left
Something has really bothered me about the Gloria Steinem discourseβsomething that's not really about Gloria Steinem. So, I wrote about it.
Back in my day we pronounced it "gif"
You could get a commemmorative drinking glass about this from Taco Bell
I vaguely remember watching this scene as a kid and feeling helpless over the destruction the Enterprise. it had to be a trip being a hardcore Trek fan watching this for the first time in theater.

The other week I went to the theater & saw Oh Brother, Where Art Thou because I thought itβd be cute after seeing The Odyssey & what I came away feeling was an indescribable emotion I havenβt felt since watching Sinners, of being fully immersed, enthralled & entertained by every element of a film.

I'm not saying "Thrift Shop" wasn't a bop, and the things he said that got him dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour were good and right, but the story is maybe complicated by this costume he performed in twelve years ago.
The other day I saw a car with a "heritage not hate" Confederate flag bumper sticker and like... the question is still why do you want to celebrate your heritage of fighting a war to preserve chattel slavery and losing?
If you had to choose one episode to introduce someone to Star Trek, which one would you pick?
This is the "Charlie Brown had hoes" of the center now. You didn't experience this. It didn't happen. This wasn't real.
But that feeling of a shared bond among all Americans in the early weeks after the attack is something Iβm so glad I got to experience. Because itβs the thing that I think weβre missing the most today.
And I-e-I had a feeling that I belonged I-e-I had a feeling I could be someone

Have you watched Star Trek: Deep Space Nine lately? Because - if I'm not being too presumptuous - you should.
