I think I'm done not standing up for myself. There are too many things that I've let people get away with in the past and thinking about them keeps irritating me. Getting punched at a room party over a comment/joke meant to emphasize someone getting back to their room safely being one of them.

One of the realizations I've had about Star Trek over the years. Earth isn't the center of the universe, why are all the ship classes named after Earth features and citizens? They are, but proper nouns between species must be different and some don't translate.

Dear Alex Kurtzman, why no Ross class as the Enterprise G? We could have explained it in cannon as a ship designed from the lessons learned between the D, E and F and it would have been a lovely homage to TNG. We could have kept the titan as the rechristened USS Picard.

I just heard that CBS violated the settlement agreement and DMCA'd Axanar, a popular Star Trek fan production that just released episode 2 after 10 years in limbo due to legal bs and covid. They weren't supposed to do that but the new leadership over there are apparently bullies.

Trying to hunt down the family and friends of my friend's roomie who had minimal online presence and a common IRL name. Michael A Blackwell, AKA: Miles A Blackwolf, Born July 22nd 1978 passed away July 17th 2026 5 days from his 48th birthday. If you know anyone who knew him please reach out to me.

There was this point where AI art had gotten so good in terms of quality (to me) that I was like "ah shit I can't tell if this is AI or not." I don't know if it's because the people making it have gotten lazy(er) or if I've gotten more adept at picking up on it but I can clock an image immediately.

I sometimes wonder if some people feel too enabled by their morality. Just because you may be right doesn't mean you have the right to threaten or intimidate anyone. Especially if that person is asking questions about a situation they know nothing about and trying to make an informed decision.

Since I have a small office worth of docking stations and monitors and junk and laptop ram, replacement batteries, screen and 128gb ssds... I'm going to buy a bunch of junked 840 Elitebooks, fix them, and pretend I own my own company... in 2014...

Just saw my favorite book turned movie, it was good and mostly true to the book. They left out the coma resistance gene narrative which I thought was a mistake but I won't spoil it. I highly recommend Project Hail Mary.
