I'm here in Europe. This idea has been in the works for years. Championed by the far right, the liberals, and the socdems and demsocs. Funny enough, the liberals, socdems and demsocs refer to themselves as "centrists", while the hitler-loving nazis are the far right. There's actually no difference.

Just a day after the MAGA regime’s wasteful $14M makeover of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to paint it blue was finished, a considerable amount of algae has started to build up and it’s now giving off a green-ish tint. Everything he touches turns to absolute shit.
I know someone going through a marital abuse version of this. Literally, her abusing spouse says that she is demonic and not a real Christian if she doesn't "move on" from his psychological (and more recently, physical) abuse. Her devout Catholicism is literally being used to abuse her.
