All in favor of naming wildfires, hurricanes, super El Ninos, and record heat waves after oil companies, say “Aye”!

For the first time ever, solar produced over 50% of Califormia’s electricity for the entire month of May. This is not small feat: California is the world’s 4th largest economy, has 39 million people (more than many countries), 1.2 million EVs and 4+ million businesses.
We have a resident Bobcat (aka, “Bobbie”) on our property. Absolutely gorgeous animal, and this is some great close up footage I captured just now.
The Houthis closing of Saudia Arabia oil exports today just took another 7% of global oil supply off the market. In related news, sunlight and wind flowed freely throughout the world. Clean energy is the antidote and is an absolute necessity.
“Solar farms just get wrecked by hail, they’re useless!” ME: New solar panels have been invented and successfully tested that automatically fold up when hail, snow or otherwise strong storm approaches. This drastically reduces any damage from said storms.
They say frogs will remain in water that constantly heats up, even to the point of boiling and their final demise. It appears that frogs and humans have a lot in common, as I stare befuddingly at this sea-surface temperature graph.
I hope Trump DOES impose a 20% fee on ships passing through the re-imposed blockade and Strait of Hormuz: renewable energy will explode across the world and he’ll seal the end of the MAGA movement.
I dont know how people cling to the notion that the sun is insufficient to power the world’s energy needs.
For the first time ever, from April 2025 to April 2026, solar energy outproduced ‘natural gas’ in Asia. First coal, now ‘natural gas’… the fossil fuel dominos are falling… and they said it cant be done…
On today’s edition of proof some of us are competing with the intelligence of a rock, Texas Representative Joe Barton:

This is exactly the kind of story I love. Solar-powered cold storage units in Kenya are slashing food spoilage from 50% down to under 2%, and farmers are earning up to 50% more per kilogram sold. One piece of technology, two climate wins at once. Because here’s the thing most people miss:
This is huge: the Tumbleweed energy storage project in CA became the 1st major battery installation in the U.S. that can discharge power for up to 8 hrs at a time — that’s 2x a typical energy-storage facility. The project use renewable energy to displace gas-fired energy generation from 6pm-2am.
For yall that are complaining about the size and sight of the U.S.’s largest wind farm going operational, please let me know where next to your house we can stick one of these.
Good news! A federal judge has found Trump’s cancellation of $82.1 billion in grants for clean energy projects in 16 states — funded by the Biden Dept of Energy — to be unlawful. Those projects are ordered to be funded ✊🌎
The biggest farm energy farm in the U.S. (3.5 GW from 916 turbines!) began operating and effectively doubled New Mexico’s wind energy generation. I hope this throws Trump into a 583 tweet tirade this morning.
As oil literally rains down in Russia, a reminder that no military can reasonably or effectively strike millions of solar panels across thousands of miles. That’s actual energy security…
It’s raining oil today in Russia due to constant destruction of oil facilities… I dont know when we’re going to get the message: the oil industry is the single most destructive industry in history.
“Golf courses consume way more water than AI data centers!” Me: Golf courses arent being used to subjugate the human race, crash the grid, whipe out millions of jobs and drive electricity rates through the roof. There is a difference here.
Farmers are figuring out that you can have solar panels AND still grow food, as this farmer is. He has mushroom production in the shade created by his solar panels. Dual use = dual incomes from the same space, less mowing and maintenance. This is a win-win-win recipe know as agrivoltaics!
EVs = they’re going to crash the grid!! Data centers = “let’s build 3,000 of them!”
FIFA has banned reusable water bottles but they’ll sell ya endless plastic water bottles. And who, you ask, is the exclusive beverage provider for the World Cup? Coca-Cola. Imagine that.
Solar, wind and geothermal energy is not “alternative energy”, it is the original energy.
Spot price for barrel of oil: ~$100 Spot price for barrel of sun/wind: free This shouldnt be difficult to figure out.
I fully expect all the haters complaining about solar panels needing to be recycled after 30+ years to be raising hell about all these data center processor chips that need to be replaced every 3 years!!
Steve Irwin had it right: I wish I was rich because I’d dump it all into preserving nature and fighting against its destruction. I love this clip, and resonate with it so much. RIP Steve 🙏
This just in: barrels of wind and sunshine are still free of charge.
ME: Take a billionaire to the most pristine, beautiful nature location, surely they’ll see we need to protect it! Billionaire:
Just stop with creating a false dichotomy between farm fields and solar farms. We literally can do both, at the same time, and have a win-win-win situation.
