Here are two new numbers every American should know: $4 billion — how much Trump and his family have profited off the presidency. $3,500 — how much rising prices cost the average family since he took office. Corruption, plain and simple.

Apple got a $2.2 billion tariff refund. Amazon got $600 million. Trump is sending the "refunds" to the companies, not working people. Every single cent of these refunds should go back to American consumers.

A 58-year-old letter carrier collapsed & died on his mail route in triple-digit heat. He's the third DFW letter carrier to die since 2023. Yet House Republicans JUST advanced a bill to block the federal heat rule. Working shouldn't be a death sentence.

Despite high-profile deaths, ‘nothing has changed’ for USPS carriers working in heat

Less than half of Dallas-area postal workers have access to air conditioned vehicles, the USPS said in a statement.

Congress should immediately hold public hearings with the CEOs of big AI companies about the threat their technology poses to national security and American jobs. Today we learned more disturbing news about Open AI's security breach. Sam Altman should answer questions under oath.

Working people pull 60-hour weeks, send their kids to serve our nation, and can barely retire by 70. Now a billionaire CEO says they shouldn't get to vote, and his vote should count 5x. That’s insane. In a democracy, it's one person, one vote.

Why did a $154 billion CEO just endorse stripping most Americans of voting rights—and taking us back to the 19th century? | Fortune

Should how much you pay in taxes determine how much your vote counts? Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke seems to think so.

Let me draw you a picture. ✍🏽 One chart: the $95 billion Republicans want for their new bill, mostly for a war nobody wants. The other: what that same money could buy — like $10-a-day childcare for working families. Don't let anyone tell you we can't afford good things.

The last time Congress raised the federal minimum wage was 17 years ago this week. Texas is still at $7.25. Yet Congress has found the time to cut taxes for billionaires, over and over. Working people are long overdue for a raise.

A Texas letter carrier collapsed and died on his route Monday during an extreme heat warning. The next day, Republicans on the Education and Labor Committee voted to permanently block a rule guaranteeing workers water breaks and shade in dangerous heat. Working shouldn't be a death sentence.

Texas USPS worker dies after collapsing during extreme heat, sparking scrutiny

While it's unclear whether Thakkar's death was directly related to the triple-digit heat that day, neighbors told local media they believe the extreme temperatures may have played a role.

The House just passed my amendment forcing the Pentagon to study the child care crisis. I represent San Antonio, aka Military City USA. Families here face long waitlists & thousands in costs to get care on base. The first step to solving this problem for our military families.

I just voted to end US funding for Israel’s weapons of war. More Democrats than ever before voted to block funding. That is a victory for the millions of Americans who have demanded an end to our taxpayer dollars going to fund genocide. Tomorrow we get back to work. We will win.

Housing costs are crushing working people. That's why I supported the bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act. It cracks down on private equity buying up single-family homes, rewards cities that build, and cuts red tape. It just became law — despite Trump refusing to sign it.

Tomorrow, the House will vote on an amendment to block the $3.3 billion in taxpayer funding we send to Israel's military. I will vote yes. It is past time for us to end aid used to commit genocide in Gaza, kill innocents in Lebanon and beyond, and help drag us into war with Iran.

ICE shot and killed Lorenzo Araujo yesterday. ICE says he drove his car at them. But that's what ICE said about Renee Good, which was a lie. That's what they said after killling Ruben Ray Martinez, and that was a lie. We need an independent investigation and accountability.

He Lived Here for 35 Years. Put Three Kids in College. ICE Killed Him.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was picking up a crew for a construction project when ICE shot him. It now claims he was the aggressor.

Trump used over $1,000,000 of your taxpayer money to "fix" the National Mall’s reflecting pool. A Trump donor was given the contract without even needing to bid. Remember this the next time he says there's no money for your health care.
