As we celebrated our nation's 250th anniversary, Trump celebrated the dark one year milestone of the "One Big Beautiful Bill" becoming law. As children go hungry and seniors lose access to care, there is nothing beautiful about it.

This week, ICE killed Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero. Last week, ICE killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. May their memory rest in peace, but not in vain. This administration must stop these senseless killings and shutter the billions funneled to this rouge agency.

We tried permanent daylight saving time in 1970s. It lasted less than a year. The Sunshine Protection Act would disrupt our natural sleep cycle leading to serious health conditions like obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, depression, and some cancers. Let’s not repeat the mistakes of our past.

I'm happy if our families can save at the pump. Yet while President Trump touts “affordable” Freedom Fuel stations, prices are still too high for gas, groceries, healthcare, and more. Americans are hurting and this administration isn't doing enough to help.

Parents deserve the utmost confidence in the safety of infant formula. Our bipartisan bill would expand the list of pathogens that the FDA must test to ensure our youngest are protected when getting essential nourishment.

250 years later, Congress came back to where it began. 🇺🇸 What a profound moment to gather at Independence Hall, where are Founding Fathers pledged “our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” Because of their immense courage, we have our precious democracy.

I pressed Secretary Rubio and Steve Witkoff on the deal with Iran.    Apparently, they don’t want tough questions.

If you are born here, you are American. It’s as simple — and as fundamental — as that.

Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸 🎂 Kicking off this historic anniversary with a beautiful celebration at the Montgomery County Court House. Our Founding Fathers envisioned a haven of freedom and justice for all. We are all called to live up to our highest American ideals.

The Reflecting Pool should mirror our history. Instead, it’s now surrounded by cameras, out-of-state police, and the empty symbolism of this administration. As Americans and affordability are pushed aside, this is not a reflection we recognize.

In March, our Commonwealth and community sounded the alarm: no inhumane warehousing of people in Berks or Schuylkill. Now, ICE is backing down. Accountability doesn’t stop here — what I witnessed in Moshannon, Philadelphia, and Dilley demands more from this administration.

We are at our best when we are engaged in our democracy. That was clear at the Progress for the People Town Hall in Bethlehem! Thank you the residents of the Lehigh Valley who shared their concerns about high costs, healthcare, and more. I’m heartened by such a strong commitment to our future.

Happy Juneteenth! In 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached the farthest corner of our nation — Galveston, Texas. Finally, in writing and in life, freedom rang. May we always strive for our highest American ideals of freedom and justice for all.

Always great and informative to meet with our Veterans Advisory Panel, including Montgomery County Veteran Affairs and the Veterans Multi-Service Center! So many of our veterans carry a lifelong commitment to service, and we are fortunate to have their compassionate leadership in our region.

For 27 years, the Bipartisan Women’s Caucus laid a wreath for our women veterans. This year, it was cancelled. The generations of women who have fought, died, and sacrificed for our freedom will not be erased.

1 in 3 Pennsylvanians dropped their ACA coverage last year, and premiums are skyrocketing for hundreds of thousands more. Yet this administration offers silence while families struggle with rising costs across the board. It's shameful.
