What a great town hall with seniors in Tempe, where we talked about bringing prices down and bringing accountability to Washington. Thank you to everyone who came out and spoke up. I'll keep fighting to lower your costs and protect the benefits you've earned.

At my Chandler town hall, I heard consistent messages: costs are skyrocketing and corruption is out of control. I'll keep fighting to bring down the costs of healthcare, groceries, housing, and childcare while simultaneously working to hold the Trump administration accountable.

The new federal framework for Colorado River operations fails to recognize today's reality. The river is in crisis, and AZ has the most to lose. No state has done more to prepare for difficult years ahead than ours. Here's the record the Interior Dept. left out and what Congress needs to do. 🧵

Congress created special protections for kids fleeing trafficking, abuse, and violence — including funding for legal counsel — so their cases could be heard fairly. Now, 20,000 children are at risk of standing in a courtroom alone facing deportation.

I was proud to host Taiwanese Legislator Wang An-Hsiang and Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Renno Liao at our historic state capitol. Arizona's partnership with Taiwan runs deep. I was glad to discuss how we can strengthen that relationship and stand up for our shared democratic values.

Harry Mitchell was as Tempe as it gets. Born and raised here, he graduated from Tempe High, attended Arizona State University, and returned to teach American Government at his alma mater for three decades, shaping generations of young minds along the way. 🧵

Yesterday, community leaders came together to celebrate the life of Don Hamill alongside the community he spent his life building. A champion for LGBTQ+ rights, Don gave years of leadership to Phoenix Pride, created the Rainbows Festival, and helped bring the AIDS Walk back to Phoenix.

This weekend, Community Bridges made sure Mesa kids have the supplies they need to start the school year right. It was great to spend the morning handing out backpacks and speaking with Mesa Public Schools Superintendent Strom and the volunteers who made it happen.

The costs of Trump's war of choice keep climbing — 18 American servicemembers' lives lost, gas prices spiking, and America edging toward a quagmire. Trump needs to get real about a negotiated settlement to bring his war to an end.

Thousands of Phoenix kids will start the school year ready to learn thanks to the Tools 4 School drive. Glad to spend my morning with HeroZona and American Legion Post 41 handing out backpacks and supplies to Arizona families.

This isn't about "waste, fraud, and abuse." It's revenge. Trump is punishing Americans for how they voted, cancelling grants Congress appropriated to bring down energy costs. Every last dollar needs to be released. Now.
