Today, I paid an unannounced visit to the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility in Batavia to conduct oversight at this facility where many members of our Capital Region community have been held after Trump’s out-of-control ICE agents seized them off the street. Here’s what I saw.
Today, I was joined by state and local officials in the Town of Coeymans and the Village of Ravena to tour areas damaged by this week’s historic flooding. I saw devastating storm damage at several sites, but I also saw the powerful resilience of these communities.

We are in a war of choice with Iran (again). Gas prices are rising (again). Energy bills, healthcare & groceries are (still) too high. But, instead of tackling these problems, Trump is fixated on an election from 6 years ago that he lost and that all evidence shows had NO widespread voter fraud.
Today, I introduced an amendment to Republican's budget plan that would ensure Trump's slush fund for January 6th rioters never sees the light of day. Congress must focus on cutting costs for Americans, not stealing taxpayer dollars to fund reckless wars and benefit convicted criminals.
