Though with women, at least in the one example we have, the family name is at the beginning of the name, as that's what happens with Nanamo Ul Namo and her mother Nanasha Ul Nasha. Full family name, full birth name, repeats broken down into the first syllable of each.

The ONE set of letters that all their names has in common is "ob", which is also repeated in his courtesy name. It may just be a weird little one-off. There are no other examples of it.

Only close friends and other races who don't get the culture are allowed to call him Rerenima. Even fewer may use Rere, his birth name.

Back to the Coco brothers again, Cocobuki Lolobuki is the only brother with a courtesy name, which would suggest he's the only member of the family over age 20. I haven't played FFXIV since the last expansion, but I still think about lalafells every single day.

Which is kinda cool, imo. Which means their actual name is whatever comes before or after. AKA Buki, Bygo, Bezi, Rere, etc(4)

Some more concrete evidence would be Nanamo Ul Namo. Her mother was Nanasha Ul Nasha. Ul only indicates royalty-- perhaps the family name on the fem side is Na. (3)

We don't know who their father is, but let's assume for a moment that this naming scheme was actually intentional, and that their "family name" is Coco. (2)

Keep in mind, this is all headcanon. I wondered, how do they keep track of family lines if they have no surnames? Well.. I posit that they do. (1)
