Thinking about this more today. Am I safer in streets I know, with bigots I know, but also with community I know? If we all leave, what about the people who can’t? If we all leave, what about the south, that’s been so disenfranchised for so long? Are we truly safe anywhere? If I stay, can I live?

Ngl yall It’s terrifying being who I am and loving who I love in the south. I love the south. I think it’s the epicenter of community and culture in America in a lot of ways. But it’s also very scary I don’t know if moving or staying is the right answer. #southern #southernqueer #appalachia
