One of the oldest forms of religious hypocrisy is people using God to justify the kind of actions against others that they themselves would cry out to God in agony if those same actions were carried out against them.

I plan on spending tomorrow reading some of Dr. MLKs words instead of watching whatever silliness may be on TV. I hope you decide to do the same. We may learn something important about organizing and fighting for justice, lessons that we are gonna need in the coming years.

My daughter is a cashier at Winn Dixie. She has to ask people if they’d like to round up for charity. Yesterday a customer told her, “No I will not round up my bill for poor immigrants. I’ll save my money for more bullets for Democrats.” Continue to walk in Christ, but the road may get tough.
