understand how anyone could take joy out of ripping families apart like this. It's one of my biggest moments of regret and shame. I hope someday they feel that same shame and regret, if not even more. I hope it haunts them even after death. (6/6)

crying and begging to be allowed to leave. But they weren't and they got picked up. I still see their faces, the looks of terror. All they wanted was to celebrate a family member's accomplishments. I dont even know if he was notified. I was never given any more information. I could never (5/?)

Were there because I suggested letting them just leave so they could meet their person off post. The family (consisting of parents, siblings, cousins, and aunts and uncles) were made to park their vehicle and on wait on the sidewalk to get picked up by border patrol. It was rainy and they were(4/?)

But when asked for more information by the person in charge of gates he found out they were undocumented and said he had to call border patrol. I asked him why we couldn't just let them leave. He said it was policy. I begged him to not make the call. He wouldnt let me go back out while they (3/?)

One evening a family tried to enter the main gate while I was on duty, but they didn't have ID. I had to tell the person that was in charge of gates to see what we could do for them. They were so excited because the person they were visiting had just graduated training and got stationed there (2/?)

With all the fuckery with ICE it has me thinking a lot back to one of the (if not the) shuttles moments when I was in the Army. For those that don't know, I was Military Police. This meant I would pull gate duty where we had to verify people's ID as they tried to enter post (1/2)
