“But AI is really helpful in the medical world.” So regulate it that it’s only available in the medical world or for research purposes. We don’t need it to make stupid LLM generated cat videos. People are losing the ability to think, to research and write their own words. Take that part away.
I really hope Marvel keeps up having shadows in the colour grading. Fantastic Four, Wonder Man, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day all look so much better for it. Even the post credit scene of Thunderbolts, directed by the Russo Bros, had better shadows and a warmer grade than their other films.
“"So we're really, really pleased his last few days on earth were some of the best." 😢
Charity cyclist Bob Montgomery, 82, dies one day after last heroic ride
It’s been a long time, but the best superhero - one of the best characters in fiction - is back with the second season of his current animated series.
Victorians turn out in massive numbers to denounce Pauline Hanson’s “racism and fascism” — swarming her fundraiser to demand she get out of the state.💥 This should be the greeting she gets everywhere she peddles her hate. Well done Victoria. #auspol
For fuck’s sake! This is on Peter Dutton and Pauline Hanson.
Victoria Police investigating alleged assault at Camp Sovereignty
Firing this glorious game back up. John Paesano’s music for these games is the best.
Pauline Hanson flees her own custom-curated presser. With ABC & Guardian banned, & far-right criminal Avi Yemini running interference, still can’t handle questions, even from Sky “Shouldn't all media have access...?"💥 Not even sidekick Avi could save her from total humiliation.
My favourite Michael Giacchino MCU music: 1. Fantastic Four: First Steps. 2. Spider-Man: Brand New Day. 3. Doctor Strange.
I don’t always do it, but I did that Letterboxd thing. Spoiler free review here.
A ★★★★★ review of Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)

Round two, baby! The cinema is the most filled that I’ve seen it in ages, which you love to see.
I don’t like star ratings for films. People get either too pretentious or too precious about them. “You rated THAT 5 stars?!” Or second guess themselves “is it really that good (or bad)?” I rate things on how they make me feel. It’s very vibes based.
Round two, baby! The cinema is the most filled that I’ve seen it in ages, which you love to see.
I'm lining up lunch at one of my favourite places and a second screening of Spider-Man for tomorrow. The budget will stretch that far. It's good when that works out.
Where I see my movies. I love how gorgeous the Albury cinema is!
'But Andy Burnham leaving could cost Labour Manchester'
Manchester mayoral results, first round Bev Craig - Labour 47% (+24 vs local elections) Reform 21% (-10) Green 12% (-7) Restore 9% (new) Conservative 8% (-3) Lib Dem 3% (-7)
Mild spoilers for Brand New Day, because it's very brief, don't read if you want to avoid: . . . I swear I heard Tara Platt's voice over the police radio, which would be a great reference to the games.
Depression is so exhausting. I’m okay, I genuinely am, because I’ve been helped along the way by family, friends, and therapists, and techniques to get through it. That said, using those techniques is a lot of effort and I’m tired.
Yes. Any positive superlatives apply. It’s that good.
Hell. Yeah.
Mob recognising Mob in public makes every interaction hit different. Just got served lunch at a regular place by an Aboriginal member of staff and the short hand we have is just fun.
Marvel, what the fuck? Not bringing us a sequel to something very popular (Shang-Chi, Ms Marvel, Moon Knight) is bad enough, but canceling a sequel to a very popular thing THAT YOU HAD ACTUALLY ANNOUNCED is really freaking annoying! Get it together, guys.
Round four. I get it, it didn’t work for you, but this shit rocks for me. And it makes me laugh. And it’s made me cry the three other times I’ve watched it.
It's been a day filled with important phone calls about heavy subjects where you're on hold for a long time and have to deal with the stomach churning. But that's over for now. And at least it was productive. Time to decompress from that.
Lily D'Ambrosio is one of the best energy and climate Ministers this country has ever had. Exceptionally smart, delivered more results and genuinely ambitious policy than any other minister in the nation. All while dealing with the misogyny and classism of our media. Leaves a big legacy.
