I really hope Marvel keeps up having shadows in the colour grading. Fantastic Four, Wonder Man, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day all look so much better for it. Even the post credit scene of Thunderbolts, directed by the Russo Bros, had better shadows and a warmer grade than their other films.

I don’t like star ratings for films. People get either too pretentious or too precious about them. “You rated THAT 5 stars?!” Or second guess themselves “is it really that good (or bad)?” I rate things on how they make me feel. It’s very vibes based.

I'm lining up lunch at one of my favourite places and a second screening of Spider-Man for tomorrow. The budget will stretch that far. It's good when that works out.

Depression is so exhausting. I’m okay, I genuinely am, because I’ve been helped along the way by family, friends, and therapists, and techniques to get through it. That said, using those techniques is a lot of effort and I’m tired.

It's been a day filled with important phone calls about heavy subjects where you're on hold for a long time and have to deal with the stomach churning. But that's over for now. And at least it was productive. Time to decompress from that.

Lily D'Ambrosio is one of the best energy and climate Ministers this country has ever had. Exceptionally smart, delivered more results and genuinely ambitious policy than any other minister in the nation. All while dealing with the misogyny and classism of our media. Leaves a big legacy.
