Woolly Rhino horn variation is so cool man. Like there you have an entire species that has a bunch of shamshirs on their nose.
Doing chainmail for the first time. I think it turned out pretty nicely.
Yes :) The view from the top actually changed because the maniraptorans proved to be among the most popular and most convincing dinosaurs featured in the series 😀
A lot more moots seem to be coming here again so maybe I might post more? Have a Tiger Shark.
A long list. I can't talk about Ice Age, but for seasons 1 and 2 we made plans to feature Megaraptor, Charonosaurus, a polycotylid, Mahajangasuchus, Torosaurus, avisaurids, noasaurids, haramiyidans and more.
Bi-annual periodic question: Is there still a community here? Haven't been active enough to get a grasp of that but is it worth being active here?
Artillery Dragon commission Probably the most fascinating topic I've worked on in a while. If Dragons are like fighter jets, then this guy is AAA. It will blast you out of the skies, track down your grounded body, and rip into your ribcage.
Was brainstorming on how I'd interpret the beast version of the F-15 Eagle. The massive intakes were a bit of a headache but I thought about the idea of putting them on the neck like with the Raptor but interpreting the ramps as a group of feathers that moves up and down.
Alright I'm callin this one done! A painting of Lycaenops, 15x30in, acrylic on canvas. I more or less wanted a big gorgon painting in my house and decided it was time to do it after visiting the @burkemuseum.bsky.social last! More info in alt text. #paleoart #traditionalart
Blue Jays are often encountered in parks, accompanied by a raccoon. If you come across this combination of species, for your own sake, stay as far away as possible.
I wasn't entirely sure on it before but I think I've decided that there is nothing much to add or change about this design. This'll be my reference from now.
Godamn I just read about the Gurkhas. Some real Unsullied type shit that I thought only existed in fantasy. Can't believe they're a real thing.
Am I the only one who thought the Grizzly in Grizzly Bear meant savage or strong? It sounds like anything but... brown
God I think I'll just go and join a sword club or something cuz the urge to pick up a sword and start swordfighting is getting too unbearable to ignore
Putting lighting on keratin is the most fun part of creature art
