Playwright, retired Entertainment Lawyer (used to work for Fox and then for NBC Universal), William Shakespeare fanatic, fan of 1940s pop culture. I write and self-publish Shakespeare parodies, horror sketches, and science fiction-sketches.

I just saw "Coyote vs Acme." It is good, and worth seeing, but it is a weird film, if you think about it, and if you are a lawyer, or a former lawyer, as I am (I'm retired) it may cause you to ask some uncomfortable questions. Am I supposed to feel guilty if I laugh when Wile E Coyote gets hurt?

Are there any fans here of the book "The Season" by William Goldman? I learned more about theater from that book than any other. Unfortunately it has passages that are very disrepectful to the gay community (it was written in 1969), but aside from that it is supurb.

In my stage version of "The Odyssey," Calypso sings, "Cyclops ate his men for lunch! Odysseus, he wants to go home! In Cyclops' eye, a stick he punch! Odysseus, he wants to go home!" I will bet you won't find that in the Christopher Nolan version.

I know everyone loves Robin Williams, but early in his career I saw him do a horrible set. Every joke was about meth. Every single one. And it was made worse by the fact that every comic who went on before Robin Williams had also been doing meth jokes.

In my stage play version of "The Odyssey," Argos is a dog without a nose. "A dog without a nose! How does he smell?" "Terrible!" I guarantee you are not going to find jokes like that in the Christopher Nolan version.

Richard Nathan's amazing psychic predictions for you: If you are a citizen of the United Stares, today your President will say something that is a lie, something that is obnoxious and something that is stupid.

Your heart beats faster at the entrance to his tomb. All you need to do is reflect the mirror at him, and he will be banished. It must. It will. Lies are also tools of a false hope/promise. What do your characters fall into before the lie is revealed? #HorrorWritersChat

Lies are also tools of a false hope/promise. What do your characters fall into before the lie is revealed?

I'm having trouble with my horror comedy parody of "Taming of the Shrew." I had forgotten how brutally Petruchio treats Kate in Shakespeare. I am replacing all the scenes of Petruchio being brutal to Kate with scenes of Petruchio putting on Punch & Judy puppet shows for Kate.

In today's New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest, why does the customer have a box of Frosted Lucky Cherms?" Was one of the lawyers at the New Yorker worried they would be sued if they spelled it "Charms"? What is a Cherm?
