Presented today at the UCL PCHP Away Day on practical AI adoption & Microsoft Copilot. Shared my “Five Levels of Copilot Access” infographic to help explain the increasingly complex licensing landscape for large organisations. Also honoured to join the UCL AI Champions Network. #AI #M365Copilot #UCL
It begins. Pilgrimage no. 3. The Gunthersteig. Train to Heathrow in glorious English sunshine.
Today I will be trying to learn how to run a Dungeon & Dragons #D&D game. My son's birthday is next month and he wants me to create and run a game. No idea how the dice work. 🎲🐉🔥⚔️
Is Rachel Reeves actually drinking water, at the budget? The one occasion when you are allowed a 'drink' in the houses of Parliament? I guess that's fiscal responsibility... Yawn. #budget #RachelReeves #alchohol
I love the diversity of London. Here's my three favourite architecture styles all on one street corner! Can you name them?
Urk! #Moodle down? #Cloudflare issues affecting many of our sites at #UCL. Not a good afternoon for digital learning.
I've a colleague on Teams who has been on the three dots now, for 10 minutes. How long do I wait? I want to stop work, but either they're typing war & peace, or they died on their keyboard...
Ladies & Gentlemen ... We got him! Finally managed to photograph the woodpecker on my bird feeder! Happy days.
So, I have 1000 'followers'. I heard a stat today that 60% of posts, and a similar percentage of profiles are just bots. Is that true? Are you a bot? If you are real, why not click the like to show me you are real... Or add a comment about what you had for tea. Chinese for me! 🍜😋🥢
Duolingo achivement of the Month. Plus, an example of why live translation (for Welsh) may not be coming anytime soon: These sentences have almost reversed word order! Cymraeg am byth!
I've always thought about joining the BCS. Anyone on here done so? What were the benefits?
The public expect tech professionals to be publicly registered and meet a code of conduct, research finds. #techethics www.bcs.org/articles-opi...
I've experienced a few people writing like this on social media.....They have a row of five full stops at the end of every sentence.....Does anyone know why.....Is it a keyboard feature,,,,,or some new way to add emphasis..... or is it from AI.....Anyone got a clue what's going on?????
Son has been selling his 3D printed planes for a week now. Now he is planning to sell these. The turrets rotate! The planes were £1. What do you think he should ask for the Battleship?
Hi @projectpals.bsky.social That makes 1000 followers! Whoop!
The British 'right' says to worry about migrants. The British 'left' says to worry about Palestine. The US says to worry about both antifa, and paracetamol? But, I think we should be most worried about Russia. They are broadening their reach every day: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/s...
Danish PM: airport drone incursion a ‘serious attack’ on critical infrastructure
Russia denies involvement after Copenhagen and Oslo airports forced to close after drone sightings

I work in an office full of doctors and professors, some of the brightest minds in the UK – yet nobody can set the coffee machine to BST. It’s been an hour behind all summer… but no one cares. The clocks go back in less than a month anyway.
My son will be selling these 3D printed planes tomorrow at his school. His idea. He picked out the designs, the colours and has used my 3D printer (under supervision). £1 each. Wish him luck.
Look who will be joining us for our Bonfire Night party later in the season. The Happy Trolls! Stocked up on the fireworks before the prices go up. Excellent local shop here in Ipswich. What do you love most about Bonfire Night?
Fresh paint needed urgently in this bedroom. Got three samples today from B&Q. Which do people prefer?
I've waited all summer for this to flower! So happy! What a beautiful colour. Just wish I knew what it was... Bought it in Northumberland. Happy Friday everyone from a Sunny Ipswich, UK.
Worried that British People have lost what sense they have? Just read the comments on this article from the BBC: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... ... it should restore your faith in British Common sense.
'It's not easy': Reform council strives to identify promised savings
Reform UK has run the authority for just over four months and is embarking on the process of setting next year's budget.

So lucky to acquire this fire bar from the loco Sir Nigel Gresley at the Greatest Gathering. bottle cap for scale. I love it, but... I can’t for the life of me think what to do with it. Thinking of making it into a garden ornament, but suggestions are welcome…
Everyone, from big business CEOs to small business owners to highly paid professionals and lowly paid service staff, has urged the Chancellor to tax someone else. From the new Private Eye, out now.
'We should, like Humboldt, pay a bit more attention to the data.' But also recognise that the data alone won't sway most minds. Stories too matter, and are richly available: eastangliabylines.co.uk/immigration/...
The UK’s problems aren’t caused by immigration
It’s not hard to see how so many came to worry about the issue. But the data isn’t there

Reform UK: The clue’s in the name, isn’t it? They've clearly declared their intentions. If you're set on 'reforming,' what do you do once it's done? You can't be the party of eternal reform. Maybe they should change their name to 'Divide UK.' Guess their goal isn't to lead, just to stir the pot.
You seen these awesome 3DPrinted figurines yet? They're fake. Just an AI image. Not 3D printed. While everyone’s gawping at the tech, real-world 3D printing still holds its ground. Creativity & craftsmanship matter too. Hope remains for makers everywhere 👀🎨 #AI www.creativebloq.com/ai/ai-art/he...

🌱 Encouraging news for our planet: rewilding is already taking hold. Huge credit to farmers 🚜and land stewards making space for nature, proof that recovery is possible. A hopeful step toward a greener future 🌿 www.bbc.com/future/artic... via @BBC_Future
The rewilding milestone Earth has already passed
The world's use of farmland has peaked, bringing the chance to turn over more space to nature. How far could the trend go?

I took this photo at the WWII commemoration parade in London a few months ago: a reminder that people of all nations stood together to defeat fascism. Flags should symbolise unity, not hate. Ignore the far-right noise: the UK’s true strength is in diversity and respect for all. All are welcome here.
