European power prices are split since the US-Iran conflict. Gas-reliant markets like Italy and Ireland have seen high prices (€140/MWh) while renewable rich regions including Spain, Portugal and Sweden see far lower prices (€40/MWh). These are average wholesale daily prices (8am to 8pm).

Getting scans such as MRIs for musculoskeletal pain without a clear suspicion of serious pathology (cancers, bone infections, etc.) leads to worse patient outcomes, significant environmental impacts, and is a major drain on public health resources.

It's often claimed Pedunculate Oaks cannot regenerate within forests, and need open ground (savanna/wood pasture), but here 2 km deep in the #Białowieża forest there's oaks at every stage of maturity, from seed/saplings, to juveniles, and mature forest giants 35-40 m tall, in continuous forest.

Having a patient pass away is a hard part of healthcare work. To the family and colleagues of the person in question: I felt profoundly lucky to have known her. A remarkable woman who was as tough as she was compassionate, and she was both from the very centre of her being. May she rest in power.
