New poem on my very free Substack! This one's about climbing a mountain in Ireland. It's in 'Crossing Paths', a beautiful little book in which me and @richardnskinner.bsky.social put together our poems about walking. @blackcatpress.bsky.social

I’m a member of the music collective Pablo’s Eye and have been contributing texts & titles for our songs & albums since the 90s. Proud to announce our new album, ‘Everything you give away’, is out in August.
Great to see that the awesome Leah Kardos, author of Blackstar Theory: The last Works of David Bowie (Bloomsbury 2022) has purchased a copy. Enjoy.
Great evening at Lala Books in Camberwell to launch Koushik’s new novel, published by maverick publisher Jude Cook @conduitbooks.bsky.social. What a great job he’s doing. And this book looks right up my dub/drum ‘n’ bass alley.
Off to see Warpaint tonight at the Royal Festival Hall as part of Harry Styles’ Meltdown. Long admired this lot. They produce the most wonderful trancey, dancey, loose-limbed jams (not songs). Bit shoegazey, bit Slits.
So I’ve just been on the wireless! It was a really, really enjoyable experience talking about my favourite poem of all time (you’ll have to tune in to find out!) and about 14 magazine (subs still open!). Great to meet Ian, Kym and Cara. A joy. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
