Dave Dombrowski’s roster construction with the resources that he’s been given is absolutely pathetic. But as someone who generally does not think managers matter, it’s amazing how Don Mattingly makes the straight-up wrong decision five times per week. It’s unbelievable.

Kawhi trade feels like a decent outcome for the Sixers. Not this year, obviously. Kawhi is still awesome, when he does play. Ingram's contract runs though 2028 (when they have the LAC's unprotected pick). Plus, let East teams push chips in while you're retooling.

Tough spot for the Phillies. They would have easily rolled with Andrew Painter all season if he was just a normal No. 5. They don't have a Mick Abel ready in the minors. But this is turning into 2024 Taijuan, an automatic loss every fifth day. The fastball is getting destroyed.
