Helen took me out for a glass or two of wine this lunchtime. A wasp got into the bottle and had quite a big drink. Was entertaining seeing a very drunk wasp wandering around the table
My sister who was diagnosed with cancer just 3 days ago died this afternoon. To say I’m in pieces is outing it mildly. I was going to see her in hospital this weekend. Didn’t get the chance.
I’m old enough to remember when Duvets were known as Continental Quilts and were the height of luxury.

When I get home from work, I sit out on the balcony with a book. After a couple of chapters, it’s like two little hands come out of the pages to close my eyes. I put the book down and have a 20 minute snooze.
It may be a female mating call. Not sure, but some wildlife buff will no doubt be able to tell me.

For the first time in what seems like months, it is grey and overcast down here. Rather disappointingly, the sun returns tomorrow when I’m back at work.
