An emotional day at MIT. I kept looking for traces and I found them. Hugh C. Simpson, Master of Science and Doctor of Science, and research assistant in the chemical engineering department at MIT 1949-1954. The work he did here set up his groundbreaking work, which led to an OBE in 1994.

The mechanics of the world do appear to operate in mysterious ways. Looking forward to visiting Boston this summer, seeing family, finding footprints left by my grandfather, and connecting with/delivering a talk to colleagues from the Human Flourishing Programme at Harvard University!
