Interesting differences between how people online respond to posts about The Lady in Greenpoint (been hawking it long enough it’s endearing) compared to Loops (new enough to still be perceived as incredibly annoying). Costanza jingle technique winning again!

Found these photos from July 29, 2024. The first walk to discover what the story and route of Loops, a serialized walking audio mystery through Prospect Park, would be.
I used to think that like 50% of the people who did Loops and The Lady in Greenpoint didn’t pay… but damn now that I get alerts when people are doing it it is way closer to like 20% 🤡
Adults should frankly be ashamed of going to the movies, a child’s medium.
Sorry can’t feel empathy for this when my generation couldn’t do 3-mile walking audio ghost stories starting at the Pulaski Bridge nor serialized walking audio mysteries through Prospect Park for free (suggested donation: $10).
we took our three-month-old to see Maddie's Secret in the theater... you don't think she should see this???? interesting...
i like it when people are like "yes i am an urban leftist yes i believe we need to have a better society where we can all live together. also, NO you should not bring your dog anywhere, NO you should not bring your child anywhere" lol
it's cute when people without kids have opinions on how to raise them. for instance i think about moves that the white sox should be making at the trade deadline. we all have our little brain fun!
This was an extremely sweet post from a mutual friend of John Rosenberger, one of the greatest guys that’s ever been around and I’ll miss him every day, and I was lucky enough for him to have played a role in Loops. Johnny Ro forever!
One thing I love about NYC is the shared lie between two acquaintances when they see each other on the street in passing and don’t want to stop or even say hi so they duck into their phones or look in a window or sky at something.
We are now only $300 away from The Lady in Greenpoint being 🤑in the black🤑

You can’t feel bad when you live in NYC. You’re not driving, you don’t got a yard. What, you’re paying for Amazon deliveries? You don’t have carbon footprints baby! They’re going down your block anyway! Go and golf, who cares!
If you're doomscrolling right now, compounding your Sunday scaries with dismay about the state of the world, may I suggest a healthier alternative: Subscribe to @hellgatenyc.com in the final hour of our sale, support worker-owned local journalism, and make your life and the world measurably better.
Only a few hours until Hell Gate's 99-Cent T-shirt Sale comes to an end! A Hell Gate Supporter subscription *and* a "Welcome to Fear City" T-shirt (an incredible tee!) for only 99 cents? And you're going to pass this up? Head here before it's too late: hellgatenyc.com/99-cent-t-sh...
The dream of the revitalized downtown core in a midsize American city is alive and well in coastal LIC.
They should make a direct ferry that goes from Greenpoint to Red Hook (Brooklyn’s sister neighborhoods)
They probably gotta do a @nyrb-imprints.bsky.social version of Eastern Span, a neo-noir set amongst the housing crisis in Oakland circa 2013, tbh.
Dogs are like, “have you heard the new Sixty-Three Inch Nails album?”
Does anyone in NYC have a VCR that’s just sitting around their home and would like to get rid of it (give to me)?
