If I could put a photo describing this year, this would be it. This year has been filled with some great highs but also soul crushing lows. This photo was taken by my friend at the end of a long rotation and shows exhaustion levels at peak rates.

Our stabilization point also does some primary care or follow care for minor injuries and illnesses. Whatever it may be, soldiers need care and we provide it. Our head surgeon snapped this photo while I was taking vitals 😂 What are we doing for Ukraine today, my friends?

My friends, it's Christmas. I've had a few days off from the stabilization point and those days were spent sending both Christmas cheer and vital supplies to units and our military hospital. It's a hard time right now and being able to help others is part of what helps keep me going. Thank you all

I am a familiar face at Nova Poshta in the areas I work in. Frequently if I'm not at the stabilization point, I'm gathering sending medical supplies and morale boosting treats. Thanks to some very sweet friends, I'm able to send lots of treats to various units. It helps keep the smiles going ♥️

I don't have the time or the energy for for negativity. I won't acknowledge it. I only care about my work and my patients. They're all I have time and energy for because they are the only thing that matters. There is a war going on. It doesn't stop for anyone's negativity or bullsh*t.

What my off shift looks like (obviously with no power). Prepping supplies for my fellow medics and giving extra first aid and medicines to my infantry. I can't make calls when I am on shift at the stabilization point so I prep everyone who needs help as I can and always ask about whats needed.

Some friends recently asked me "what do you want for Christmas?" The usual answer of * peace * always flashes through my mind first. But I start rattling off that we always need hemostatic gauze, CAT7 tqs, ifak supplies.... They said, well yes but we actually meant for YOU.

So Saint Nicholas has arrived and he tasked me with making sure we have some extra tourniquets at the stabilization point and to trade with anyone carrying a Chinese tourniquet (so far I have 6 chinese ones for training now), they get a CAT7 🫶

It is Armed Forces Day in Ukraine. I want to first congratulate my fellow brothers and sisters in arms that I have the honor and privilege to serve with. My service is a dual identity. I am a soldier and a medic. Both come with different challenges but they make me better in both capacities.

Today is Thanksgiving where I am from. I'm sending hugs to all my loved ones back home and thinking about everything I am grateful for this year. I am mainly grateful to be able to help and for a cup of good coffee and a delicious mandarin orange after a very tough case.
