I'm here for #WoSo, #StarWars, and #Urbanism / #Bikes. Living in #Portland / #PDX. Still at 🏡.
They could have brought Trent Alexander-Arnold... Just sayin'... #MEXENG
Just had a big idea... If the Blazers leave we move the Winterhawks to the RQ to share with the Fire. Then we redevelop Memorial into a nicest indoor ice rink in the nation! Solves the Save Lloyd folks problem! Then the rest of the land is given to AVT!
A Black man with the surname Freeman scored for the USA on Juneteenth in a home World Cup match.
Allez Paris Saint-Germain! Ici c'est Paris! My parents fled and landed in the 20th arrondissement before Portland. So I will always be connected to France 🇫🇷!
Happy Oregonian publishes your salary day for those who celebrate! 10 years at the County starting at Step 1 with one promotion. Definitely weird to see my name every year....
I've seen enough! Portland is Women's sports. While I will be sad the Blazers leave (they're not; he bluffing), I don't think Dundon is dumb (just more of a sleeze junk car dealer). Good luck in trying to steal media from the Hornets or Heat... Or getting KC to build you 20k seat arena.
Fighting all night long to hang with the New York Liberty, the Portland Fire just pulled off a stunning 98-96 win at Moda Center on a buzzer-beating putback by Sarah Ashlee Barker. Read more from Ryan Clarke: theoregonian.visitlink.me/_GE-k5 📸 by Ali Gradischer/Getty #PortlandFire #WNBA
Does Deloitte ever provide recommendations that aren't outsource and cut?
A plan from the consulting firm Deloitte recommends Southern Oregon University cut academic programs, outsource administrative operations and lease campus buildings to generate revenue.
I always forget that South Waterfront #pdx kinda feels like Vancouver BC. Big all glass condos with a nice waterfront walking/biking path.
Easy answer. Democrats in Salem are scared of rural Republicans who won't vote for them anyways...
Studies have shown that studded tires reduce road life and cost the state millions in repairs. Many states have banned them and some, like Washington, charge a fee to use them. So, why hasn't Oregon followed their lead?
Biking in SE Portland in the Woodstock neighborhood and I saw a Stop RIP2 (Residential Infill Project) sign. Didn't realize there was a second RIP in the works. Not surprisingly it was down the block from what was once a single dwelling unit property that now has 6 homes of people.
There was a bar in Eugene that was based on banking/stock market. The cost of a pint of each beer on tap would go up 📈 or down 📉 based on popularity of people buying. This is a even more dumb idea.
Polymarket is opening a bar in Washington, D.C. tomorrow called The Situation Room. Per Polymarket: "Imagine a sports bar… but just for situation monitoring — live X feeds, flight radar, Bloomberg terminals, and Polymarket screens."
Drop an album that was important to you when you were 19. "What do we leave behind when we cross each frontier? Each moment seems split in two; melancholy for what was left behind and the excitement of entering a new land.”

Didn't a bunch of bills die today, @oregoncapitalchronicle.com? Or am I off a few weeks before bills that don't get out of committee. #ORLeg #ORPol
Just waiting for this but with hot dogs 🌭. Glad @councilorgreen.bsky.social is on it!
The al pastor taco truck at sleepy North Berkeley BART is booming every night with neighbors, cyclists and families. Imagine what we could do with fully legalized street vending citywide.
Highly recommend you sign to show support! My family has been lucky enough to be able to put away for future college and an emergency because of this program.
Today is the start of something BIG. Sign our new petition to show your ❤️ for Preschool For All! actionnetwork.org/petitions/fu... Question of the day...🤔 Do I buy a handheld DVD player and get DVDs from the library instead of getting a subscription to a streaming platform...🤔
Not talked about enough is the amount of young families at Pioneer Square on a Tuesday as they visit the 🎄. This is how you activate downtown.
Happy to finish my annual giving by donating to reelect Councilor Morillo and Lane. And I gave to Councilor Green a month ago.
I don't know how I feel about Christmas / Holiday music on the radio this early in the season. Like it started after Halloween!
Really enjoying all the center median on 82nd going in... But do find it silly that they are pouring concrete to look like brick 🧱...
You know it's bad when bad dad joking Novick is coming at ya!
Councilor Steve Novick responds to Councilor Dan Ryan: "I give him one thing—at least he’s demonstrating that the Portland political disease of performative self-righteousness isn’t limited to the left.”
The @wweek GiveGuide starts in November now!?! What!?! Now I have two months to procrastinate giving!!! 🥳
The trail around Crystal Springs and through Reed is always so nice in the autumn 🚶🏻🍂🍃🍂
Got a chance to watch #WhiteLotusLionDance at #WhiteLotusMarket today. Super impressed with their new high pole routine. Clearly #PortlandIsOnFire cause they bringing the heat!
Always kind of irks me that Crystal Lake is bordered on one side with a pay to access park and the other side another pay to access golf course. It's always so pleasant at the Rhododendron garden.
