A plan from the consulting firm Deloitte recommends Southern Oregon University cut academic programs, outsource administrative operations and lease campus buildings to generate revenue.

I always forget that South Waterfront #pdx kinda feels like Vancouver BC. Big all glass condos with a nice waterfront walking/biking path.

Studies have shown that studded tires reduce road life and cost the state millions in repairs. Many states have banned them and some, like Washington, charge a fee to use them. So, why hasn't Oregon followed their lead?

Biking in SE Portland in the Woodstock neighborhood and I saw a Stop RIP2 (Residential Infill Project) sign. Didn't realize there was a second RIP in the works. Not surprisingly it was down the block from what was once a single dwelling unit property that now has 6 homes of people.

There was a bar in Eugene that was based on banking/stock market. The cost of a pint of each beer on tap would go up 📈 or down 📉 based on popularity of people buying. This is a even more dumb idea.

The al pastor taco truck at sleepy North Berkeley BART is booming every night with neighbors, cyclists and families. Imagine what we could do with fully legalized street vending citywide.
