okay to be fair to those ruffled by wilson's take - i get that we really don't like it when someone dislikes something we like. but as someone who thinks the matrix reloaded is the best film in the franchise i am inured to this particular pain
but yeah in all my years of life i never once believed the trojans accepting the horse. just assumed it was a "u had to be there" thing but i 100% fully bought it in nolan's portrayal, which in turn made me believe in odysseus's cleverness, so for that alone i appreciate this adaptation muchly.
i love being offline then being online again because i'm genuinely so shocked people had problems with the emily wilson review. did ppl uncritically like this movie? i would say it wasn't as substanceless as she made it out but the writing was attrocious. they literally sail off into the sunset.
i saw the odyssey finally. i found it very thematically messy & badly written (the dialogue very "let's explain the world and plot") but i was largely gripped throughout & i really appreciated being able to believe in the trojan horse for once. was intrigued by his attempt to secularise it.
if you're someone who switches bags a lot (like somedays it's backpack, sometimes it's tote, sometimes it's this that or the other u know) do u keep necessities in each bag (sanitiser, lotion, keys whatever) or always take them out & repack them like what is ur system how do u reduce the chaos
