I recently hosted OC Transpo GM Rick Leary for a discussion at the River Ward, Ward Office, which focused on bus route reliability. I also took the GM to the Mooney's Bay, Walkley & South Keys Trillium Line stations for a tour and chat about ways to improve passenger experiences.

The City will file a more comprehensive area of coverage with the Province (very soon) that will include River Ward & many other wards that were impacted by the July 1 flooding. I spoke with the Premier's Deputy Chief of Staff this morning, to underline this is serious concern.

Riverside Drive WB lanes are closed as of this week, from Data Centre Road to Neil Way (near Pleasant Park Road). During this closure, one lane of traffic in each direction will be redirected via a temporary road to use Riverside Dr EB. In place until August 31.
River Ward's Uplands Riverside Park will be renamed Riverside Bicentennial Park, a fitting tribute to Ottawa's bicentennial year and prime location close to the Rideau River. City Council approved the name change at the July 15 meeting.
